In this class, students will create two blocks that will serve as scaffolding onto which they can build a drawing.  Block printing as a graphic technique offers the unique opportunity to play with backgrounds, over-painting, and other hand additions to make a repeatable image into a unique piece.  Combining block printing and drawing / painting enables artists to think in repetitions as they adjust and play to create new and exciting mark-making and imagery.
