Paint like Georgia O’Keeffe with Chelsea Cordova

Develop your sensitivity to abstract forms through exploring the creative process and techniques of Georgia O’Keeffe. Whether she painted clouds, flowers, skulls, or the desert, Georgia O’Keefe’s style developed out of strong lines, dynamic color and careful design that is deceptively simple and yet built on approachable design principles.
In this Artistic Methods Exploration Workshop you will create a painting in a similar style. Starting with contour drawings to the completion of a painting using washes and color gradation techniques in acrylic or tempera paint. You’ll build your skills in shading, color blending and abstract form.
This class is structured so the beginner or more advanced student will enjoy it and be able to complete a satisfactory piece.
This is a three part class.
PLEASE NOTE THE 11/3 class will be at Red Brick Studio in downtown CdA (address provided at registration). All other classes occur at Emerge.
