One day workshop. March 16th, 11am - 2pm. Ages 10+

This fabulous one day beginner workshop, hosted by Ash Gordon, is for individuals with little to no crochet experience or those wanting a refresher on the basics. In this 3 hour class, Ash will cover how to hold your crochet hook, tie a slip knot, chain stitch, and single crochet stitch. These skills will be utilized to make potholders out of cotton yarn. Future crochet workshops will also build on these skills!

Since attendees may already have materials or may have specific preferences on what supplies they'd like to bring, we're asking students to purchase their own materials for this workshop. These materials should cost around $10 or less and second-hand materials are always welcome!

Supply List:

  • 4.5mm crochet hook
  • One skein of 100% cotton yarn

Supplies can be purchased online or from any local craft store. Yarn must be 100% cotton, acrylic yarn will melt or burn if used as a potholder. Please send an email to if you have any questions about these materials.

Due to a high demand for classes, we are not able to issue refunds unless a class is canceled.
