Four day Summer Camp, M - Th | Ages 10 - 12 | August 5th - 8th |  9am - 3pm

Emerge summer camps are back for another year! Join us this year to celebrate a Summer in Color through exciting hands-on art projects, arts education, and outdoor activities. 

This weeks theme Science in Art, will explore the different ways art connects with the world of STEM. From the geometry of sculpture to the chemistry of clay, Emerge's instructors will help campers to look at art under a whole new light (or microscope)! 

Monday

Morning - Nature walk, collect leaves and plants to incorporate into printmaking with Bethany

Afternoon - Learn about how to represent the environment through art while making nature themed collages with Ash

Tuesday

Morning - Make your own paper out of scraps with Bethany

Afternoon - Learn about the environmental impact of your art supplies while using recycled materials to make collages or sculptures with Erik

Wednesday

Morning - Learn about the relationship between oil and water through kitchen lithography printing with Bethany

Afternoon - Paint using gravity with Erik

Thursday

Morning - Learn about light sensitive pigments while making cyanotype prints with Erik, plus a bonus kiln chemistry lesson

Afternoon - Learn about the atmosphere while plein air painting with Katie

Each day campers will take a lunch break from 11:45 - 12:15

Camp Requirements:

• Campers must arrive dressed in comfortable clothing that is okay to get dirty and shoes they can walk in. Weather allowing they may spend some of the day outside.
• Please send your camper with lunch and a water bottle. We have a fridge available for food storage but no microwave. 
• Parents or guardians are required to walk their child down to the studio each day to sign in and come down again to sign them out for pickup.
