Sarah Thompson Moore

My studio is a place of discovery filled with relics of past experiments, adventures and some proud achievements. I work with a wide range of materials, often utilizing mold making processes to examine relationships between positive and negative space, heavy and light, industrial and natural. Recently, my work has expanded into the realm of site-specific public art which has allowed me to more deeply engage with themes of Nature, history, culture, community and scale. With this work, I seek to form tangible connections to a given place and to provide space for contemplation and communion with Nature. I am interested in incorporating the ‘found energy’ of a place, such as wind, light, rain, sounds, etc. into the concept of the work, because these elements allow for a new experience with each visit: a continuous collaboration between Art and Nature and Self.”
Sarah Thompson Moore currently resides in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.
