2024 Throwdown and Cup Frenzy

Our 4th Annual Throwdown: A Ceramic Competition and Cup Frenzy is scheduled to take place Friday April 12th, 2024. This event is a wonderful way to get more involved with the local pottery scene and will be jam packed full of exciting activities.

The highlight of the night will be the Throwdown Challenge. This aspect of the event is a friendly throwing competition with challenges like throwing the widest plate, throwing the tallest cylinder, and throwing blindfolded (Think the BBC/HBO series "The Great Pottery Throwdown")

An important aspect of this event is fundraising for our pottery studio. We use the funds collected to purchase new supplies and materials each year. This is done through our Cup Frenzy: a HUGE cup sale. Participating potters donate 5 - 10 cups for the sale. All of the cups will be available for $15 per cup (with a drink included).

*VIP Early Access tickets to the Cup Frenzy are on sale now, just $45 and you can be first in the door at 4pm to snag your cups!*

Substance III will also open the day of the event, coinciding with Coeur d'Alene's Art Walk. This show features regional ceramic artists and will remain up through May 4th.
