Four day Summer Camp, M - Th | Ages 13 - 15 | June 17th - 20th |  9am - 3pm

Emerge summer camps are back for another year! Join us this year to celebrate a Summer in Color through exciting hands-on art projects, arts education, and outdoor activities. 

This weeks theme Exploring Abstraction, will challenge your camper to think outside of the box while discovering the possibilities of their artistic talents. Led by Emerge's fantastic youth instructors they'll uncover what it means to make abstract artwork and how it has impacted the world of art as we know it.

Monday

Morning - Learn about abstract painters and the meaning of abstraction with Bethany

Afternoon - Walk outside to find examples of abstraction; make preliminary abstract sketches with Erik

Tuesday

Morning - Abstract multi-media drawing with Bethany

Afternoon - Learn how abstraction fits into clay sculpture with Katie

Wednesday

Morning - Cardboard sculptures with Ash

Afternoon - Abstract painting with Erik

Thursday

Morning - Finish and paint cardboard sculptures with Ash

Afternoon - Finish abstract paintings and/or work on other unfinished projects with Erik.

Each day campers will take a lunch break from 11:45 - 12:15

Camp Requirements:

• Campers must arrive dressed in comfortable clothing that is okay to get dirty and shoes they can walk in. Weather allowing they may spend some of the day outside.
• Please send your camper with lunch and a water bottle. We have a fridge available for food storage but no microwave. 
• Parents or guardians are required to walk their child down to the studio each day to sign in and come down again to sign them out for pickup.
