June 2025: Cherish Consumption

Cherish Consumption an exhibition by Bethany Phillips

"This body of work combines two mediums- paint and collage- in order to explore the meeting and dichotomy of the things we consume and the things we cherish. We as individuals and a society have, over time, become more and more consumerist and money centered. Taking the time to examine these tendencies and the ways in which we cherish consumption allows us an avenue through which to sit with our humanity, with our fallibility as people, and in doing so keep our spirits alive."
